Ford 302 5.4 Rod--OFF THE SHELF !

OFF THE SHELF---a pair of long rod 302 Ford pistons KB746 and KB747. KB747 is a 435 gram 5.4" rod pump gas flat top forging. The KB746 is almost the same piston except it weighs 468 grams and has a solid 6.8cc dome for 12.3:1 compression with 54cc heads. Most modern performance heads will clear the dome but it is best to check with clay before final assembly. Compression with a 64cc head is 10.6:1. Use our "Effective Compression Ratio Calculator" to determine whether your cam, compression and fuel choice make sense. This combination is a much lighter but similar to another well known high RPM 302 Brand X of the late 60's.

For those of you who like to do work on your pistons, check out KB's new piston vise. This vise allows you to work on both KB forgings and Hypereutectics. The vise can be used on mills, lathes, and stationary vises.
